Joining the Sixth Form
Dear prospective Sixth Form students
St Gregory’s Catholic Sixth Form is a successful and vibrant community (graded outstanding by Ofsted in March 2019) and currently has well over two hundred students. The majority of our Year 11 students who have completed their GCSE’s chose to return to our Sixth Form, as they know they will be provided with first class teaching, guidance and support. We also admit a number of external students who would like the opportunity of studying in a Catholic Sixth Form where they know they will be stretched and challenged academically.
St Gregory’s Sixth Form has a long established academic reputation. The curriculum in the Sixth Form is designed to meet the needs of all our students. We offer a wide variety of A level subjects and Vocational courses. We continue to achieve outstanding Sixth Form results and this year St Gregory’s achieved an ALPs grade 2 value added score which placed St Gregory’s amongst the top 5% of schools and colleges in the country.
St Gregory’s has high expectations of all our Sixth Form students in terms of their commitment to their academic studies and their involvement and participation in a range of enrichment and extra-curricular activities.
Almost all our student progress to university and this year our students have secured places at some of the most prestigious universities in the country including Oxford, Cambridge, Leicester, LSE, Warwick and Bristol; where they will study a variety of subjects such as Medicine, Economics, Law and Mathematics.
