Headteacher’s Welcome

I am delighted to welcome you to our School website which will introduce you to our vibrant and successful school. You will learn that St Gregory’s has high academic standards, a genuine prayer life, a strong moral purpose and excellent community spirit.  Our Catholic faith is at the heart of everything that we do and is central to our mission statement: ‘Pro Deo, For God the Best and the Greatest’. Our hardworking and committed staff ensure that pupils develop in their faith, increase their knowledge, skills, confidence and resilience so that, when they leave us, they have the very best life chances.

As an over-subscribed school we are extremely well-resourced and proud to provide our pupils with a wide and rich academic curriculum alongside a full and varied extra-curricular programme. We have an outstanding pastoral care system and develop excellent relationships with parents and carers so that every pupil is nurtured. The Department for Education has acknowledged our high standards by identifying St Gregory’s as a Behaviour Hub and threfore we support other schools across the country, helping them to replicate our pupils’ exemplary behaviour.

We have a thriving sixth form and so the majority of our pupils remain with us for seven years, after which they use their impressive qualifications to gain access to high quality undergraduate degrees or apprenticeships. Through our commitment to enabling every pupil to be the best that they can be, our pupils are equipped to have fulfilling lives and make a positive impact on society.
