The School Parliament, made up of students from year 7 to 13, will produce a
Colours Booklet every term. This publication will celebrate the achievements of our students in all aspects of school ranging from academic progress through to sporting success and other extra curricular events.

The Fronter Platform is used by students and teachers at hundreds of schools around the world. With almost 100 tools available, the platform can be customised according to the needs and vision of the school. Adjustments can be made to suit the school’s pedagogical methods and learner age group.
From the Headteacher
Once again, this has been an extremely busy term for the school with a huge amount of time and energy (including nervous energy!) being devoted to Public Examinations (particularly for Year 11 and the Sixth Form). We hope that all the hard work of pupils and staff is rewarded with good GCSE and A-Level examination results in August. Although in the meantime I would like to thank Mr Sinclair for the organisation and smooth running of exams at the school. Sports Day was a huge success in
all respects. Althoughvery competitive it was a day filled with fun and laughter and pupils thoroughly enjoyed the day. Congratulations to Benedict House who were winners on the day (for the fourth year in a row)! My thanks also to Ms Lowdon and the P.E. Department for the superb organisation of the day. Other successes this term include the Design Technology and Art exhibitions of Year 11 and 13 work, the Annual International Evening (this was our fifth), with exhibitions and food from many countries around the world, and the excellent contribution our Parent’s Forum make to the life of the school. At their last meeting the Parent’s Forum discussed the monitoring and assessment of Equality of Opportunity at the school and the annual report of the Special Educational Needs department (if you would like a copy of the minutes of the last Parent’s Forum please contact Mrs Ryan).
Unfortunately, we have to say ‘Goodbye’ to one member of the teaching staff – Mr Ellul – who has been appointed as an Assistant Headteacher at another school. We are also saying goodbye to three of our LSA’s –Miss Murphy, Miss Gibbs and Mr Gurran. The school is extremely grateful to all of them for the work they have done for our students and we wish them well in the future. We extend our best wishes to Mrs Northam and Mrs S. Ryan who are on maternity leave. I am pleased to report that we will be fully staffed in September and will be welcoming two new teachers to the school: Mr Harte (Head of Maths) and Miss Grossett (French); we hope that they all have long and successful careers at St Gregory’s.

School Profile
The School Profile is a new way for schools to report annually to parents. It replaces the Governors’ Annual Report.
This is a short electronic document, which allows us to communicate with parents about the school’s progress, priorities and performance.
I am pleased to inform you that our school profile for this academic year is now available on DirectGov website, at the following address: http://schoolsfinder.direct.gov.uk/3045406/school-profile.
For Parents who do not have internet access, hard copies of the profile can be obtained from the school.
A Frederick – Chair of Governors
